About the Author

Shalom. My name is Jeff Benner. While I am by profession a Projects Manager/Engineer my passion is the Hebrew language.

About ten years ago I began a serious personal study of the Bible. I began using an Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible and began searching for the meaning of the Hebrew words behind the English translations. I soon discovered that the translators were very inconsistent in how they translated the Hebrew words and decided that if I really wanted to know what the Bible was saying I needed to learn the Hebrew language.

After a few years of study in the Hebrew language of the Bible I discovered that the ancient Hebrews who wrote the Biblical text wrote in a script very different from Modern Hebrew and their ideology and philosophy was very different from our own. This discovery began the journey into the Ancient Hebrew alphabet, language and thought.

After compiling a large amount of information on many different Hebrew words and roots I decided to construct a Lexicon that would help myself and others with proper interpretation of the Bible. The "Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible" is the results of the past seven years of research. I hope that you find it as worthwhile in your studies as I have.

In 1999 I went online for the first time and scoured the internet for information on the Ancient Hebrew alephabet and language and amazed to find that there was nothing. At that point I decided to start a website and share what I had been researching. This website developed into the "Ancient Hebrew Research Center".

I have written a few other books that you might be interested in including "His Name is One", "Learn to Read Biblical Hebrew" and "The Ancient Hebrew Language and Alphabet". Each of these can be purchased from the "Ancient Hebrew Bookstore".
